Who?
My name is David Stirling. I’m a freelance graphic designer and writer living and working in the popular Peak District town of Buxton.Before starting Abraca Communications some 25 years ago, I was Art Director and Special Projects Editor for one of the UK’s largest publishers of newspapers and magazines, designing and writing for titles ranging from The Daily Mail and Angling Times, to Match and Smash Hits.
The emergence of the internet in the late ’90s opened a whole new world of creative opportunities, enabling me to expand the scope of services I offer. Although I still design and produce printed material, much of my work is now with new media such as the internet and video production.

I work for a wide variety of clients; from local government to high street retailers, large financial organisation to small internet start-ups. And on projects ranging from corporate brochures to websites, newsletters to DVDs.I've only included a small selection of examples from my portfolio on this website.
