YouTube clips

I’ve created a number of YouTube clips, most of which are listed in my YouTube channel.

At the time of writing (October 2010), a chapter from my Remember Melton Mowbray DVD currently tops the charts under the search term ‘Melton Mowbray’ with some 5,525 views (below). This shows a series of fades between past and present views of the same scene.

A very poor quality clip taken from a much-played VHS tape of my home village’s most famous son – WW2 leading Spitfire ace, Johnnie Johnson (pictured) – has 2,256 hits (click here to view). I created this for a local history website on Waltham on the Wolds in Leicestershire.

My own favourite clip is a series of pans and zooms across an old illustration of Melton Mowbray I discovered on a very rare, hand-drawn map of the town dating back to 1830. Click here to view it.

I used similar techniques to create a couple of clips for my calm.com project which are listed on another YouTube channel here. The most popular of these has now reached 4,200 hits. (Click here to view.)
