At the time of writing (October 2010), a chapter from my Remember Melton Mowbray DVD currently tops the charts under the search term ‘Melton Mowbray’ with some 5,525 views. For years I’ve wanted to create an antidote to christmas website – for everyone else who shares my jaundiced view of the festivities. I have an old friend – Bill Stott – who is of a similar mind, and also happens to be a brilliant cartoonist. And I managed to persuade him to create a few illustrations to adorn the site. I’m having a real battle with a few entrenched technophobes on my local parish council over my e@lerts website. It all started when our house was burgled a couple of years ago whilst we were away on holiday.
